North Canton, OH, July 28, 2006 – ASC Industries Inc., a United Components Inc., company, announced today that the company’s Tianjin, China facility has been certified to ISO/TS 16949. ASC’s North Canton Worldwide Headquarters received its certification to ISO/TS 16949 in 2003.
ISO/TS 16949 was jointly developed by the International Automotive Task Force, (IATF) and approved by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for publication. This document, coupled with OEM customer-specific requirements, defines quality system requirements for use in the automotive supply chain.
