EVANSVILLE, IN, July 19, 2006 – United Components, Inc.announced that Rafaat (Raf) Kureshi will join UCI in the newly created position of VP Export Sales and Marketing. In his new role, Raf will be supporting the United Components, Inc. business units, which include ASC Industries, Airtex LLC, Champ Laboratories and Wells Manufacturing.
Raf has over 20 years of experience in key Export Sales and Marketing, Joint Venture and Licensee management roles with several aftermarket companies including ArvinMeritor Inc, Mark IV Automotive and Purolator. “Raf‘s international sales and marketing experience will be an excellent compliment to our existing sales teams at United Components”, stated Curtis Draper, VP of Sales and Marketing for UCI. “He has extensive experience in a number of geographic areas worldwide.” Said Mr. Draper. Raf was elected as the upcoming President of The Association of Int’l Executives Overseas Automotive Council (OAC), Inc. and is a member in good standing for the past 20 years. The OAC is affiliated with MEMA.
